LET’S START THE REAL LIFE EXPERIENCE…
In 2015, as High school graduation was completed, I was feeling lost as most teenagers in this world. I did not know what to go for, was preparing for IIT JEE, the most overrated stuff science students do in India. I dropped IITJEE, started preparing for SAT and TOEFL exam. In the meantime, my love for computer science rose again. I started learning programming languages and getting certifications for it. But no one can escape the wrath of relatives, acquaintances, neighbors, and so-called friends. With wrath I mean, I haven’t joined “The System” (where people chose any college for graduation and then start preparing for jobs exam), instead I decided to chose to study in another country to explore myself and also get a research opportunity in computer science which is not that much in India. I was preparing for SAT and TOEFL, getting many college acceptation letters from different countries but I was looking for scholarship because I did not want my parents to burden with my fee. Despite getting many college acceptations letters, which I also shared screenshots of; a lot of people started criticizing me that they were fake, some also said this kid has failed his parents, wasting their money etc.
I was so depressed, I told all this to my mother one night and she told that when elephant walks, dogs bark but elephant doesn’t give a fuck. You have big goals, so you must face big criticization. No one is going to believe you; you must believe in your goals. That sentence gave me goosebumps, my adrenaline rushed. I am a huge fan of Mark Zuckerberg and Elon musk; like them I also write down my goals in a diary. That night I opened my diary, looked at those goals and promised myself to start working on those every day. I started gym, I started blog website- “selfgrowth.energy”.
I started studying science of exercises, I studied Food & nutrition from Stanford University online. I became certified fitness trainer and certified nutritionist by 2019 and credit also goes to Mr. Himanshu Srivastava; founder and owner of the unisex Gym- Fire Lifters, he introduced me to a lot of opportunities.
In the meantime I joined Amway business, it’s a network marketing business, I did it to earn my pocket money and while doing it I learned a lot from their BRITT WORLD WIDE education system like how to face rejections. I went introvert to extrovert. I overcame my stage fear.
I was a writer, so I decide to create a YouTube channel, which later converted to a platform which supports local artists by giving them a stage to perform – “SatMis poetry”! Since class 10th, I was following celibacy, it is a common Hindu brahmin tradition to do, lived a monk life being involved in this materialistic world until now and it is 08 years now. I was not getting any scholarship from different universities across different countries, only selection letters. Our family went on a trip in July, 2019, when we’re coming back from the trip, I got offered scholarship from Vietnam National University and there were other opportunities like student exchange programs which also inspired me to join this supercalifragilisticexpialidocious university.
I got into New York Institute of Technology, Manhattan campus for studying Computer Science Engineering with $18000 scholarship per year, but my parents wanted me to study in India or in any Asian university, so I chose Vietnam National University. I got selected into Hofstra university, University of California etc. But cannot go there because of higher tuition fee and finally got an opportunity to be in the university I am right now.
I am a blogger, certified fitness trainer, certified nutritionist, a programmer, and a cybersecurity aspirant. But I have been nothing if I have listened to my so-called friends who used to laugh at me, talk behind me, criticize me, I stopped listening to my relatives, neighbors, each and every negative shit droppers. I focused my all energy on my goals, and I am so far from where I was and still moving towards my goals. But the negative energy givers are still there and still giving the same energy. This all happened in span of 2015-2019, a four-year drop, just imagine how much negative I must have listened and how much my goals have been crushed by my friends, relatives, acquaintances etc. But my father and mother’s motivation kept me going. Reading self-growth books daily kept me going. My top 5 favorite books are- The Secret, Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta, the power of subconscious mind, Power of Thinking big and the code of an extraordinary Mind. These 5 books completely transformed my life from loser to a doer and achiever. Today when I look at past, I thank my criticizers because of them I kept moving and right now here I am; looking forward to much more big goals. And soon I will be completing my and as well as my family’s goals.
So, to sum up everything I will say; self-love and being passionate toward your goals is the key to achieving success. If you have self-love, then you will not think about what others say or whatever they criticize you will take as motivation and will to achieve that goal anyhow and show them it is possible. Being passionate for your goals will make you enjoy and keep you motivated during your failure and downfalls because without struggle and downfalls there is no success. Nowadays when struggle or downfall comes, I become so happy because it means success is nearby!
Keep growing, Keep going!
