1. YOU ARE NOT THE SAME PERSON YOU WERE A YEAR AGO:
You’re not the same individual you were a year ago, a month ago, or a week ago. You’re always growing. Experiences don’t stop. That’s life.
2. YOU’VE DEVELOPED ACHIEVABLE GOALS:
Goal setting is a helpful way to build the career you want. By setting objectives and creating a clear road map for how you’ll reach your intended target, you can decide how to apply your time and resources to make progress. Without goals, it can be difficult to determine how to get a certain job, promotion or other milestones you want to achieve.
3. YOU’VE EXPERIENCED REAL HARDSHIP:
The more you go through, the more wisdom you gain. The more mistakes you make, the more you qualify to dole out advice on what and how to do things. Your credibility stems from having gone through hardships yourself.
4. YOU HAVE 1 OR 2 CLOSE FRIENDS:
Quality over quantity.
It’s always better to have a few good and true friends by your side rather having so many acquaintances because the more people you deal with, sometimes it just adds to your burden and more nonsense you have to put up with. Don’t all of us have our own nonsense too?
Well, sometimes having too many friends can be really tiring and probably you should just consider finding a good friend(s) that will stick with you for life.
It won’t be easy as people come and go, but I believe you will find That Special One.
5. YOU KNOW THAT GOD/UNIVERSE HAS GREAT THINGS IN STORE:
Just because God/Universe didn’t answer your prayers doesn’t mean He’s not listening. He’s just got something better in store for you. You might have lost your job, a beautiful relationship/marriage or something valuable, which is tearing you apart right now especially when you have no idea of what God/Universe is up to but know that, God/Universe is up to something! Those months and years you have waited is never in vain!
Remember that God/Universe will never take something away from you without the intention of replacing it with something much better! So whatever didn’t work out for you as you planned, is God’s/Universe’s way of saying I’ve got something much better.
6. YOU HAVE BEEN PUSHING YOURSELF FOR MONTHS:
I guess what I’m trying to say is that even if you’re afraid of trying something because you might fail…I bet you can do it. I bet you can figure out how to find success even if in the moment it feels really difficult.
And my hope for you is that in six months, or a year, or two years, you can look back and be proud of what you accomplished.
After that you’ll probably feel empowered to accomplish even more, and to set the bar even higher for yourself. Whether you’re in school, or starting a business, or trying to reach your goals in something else…you can do it (and probably much more).
“The harder you slam a ball into the ground, the higher it bounces back up… A divorce, a breakup, losing a job, or just feeling seriously down can ground you, rough you up a bit, leave calluses on your feet and grit under your finger nails. But more than that, it leaves you wiser and stronger next time… Life is about experiencing opposites isn’t it? — Laurel House”
